Mission Statement

Children of the Ligonier Valley School District will be provided comprehensive educational opportunities in safe and supportive environments to maximize individual potential.

The Ligonier Valley School District Board of Education will meet at 5:00 P.M., on August 13, 2018, in the Ligonier Valley High School auditorium for a planning session.  A business meeting will follow at 6:00 P.M.
Pennsylvania's Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides quality, comprehensive health insurance for routine doctor visits, prescriptions, dental, eye care, eyeglasses, mental health, and much more for uninsured children who are not eligible for Medical Assistance.  For most families, CHIP is free - for others, it is low cost. Coverage for uninsured children is up to age 19. For more information, please click on this link.
Many school districts in Pennsylvania are having difficulty maintaining an adequate roster of certified substitute teachers to meet their daily need.  Our district is no exception.  Therefore, we have implemented an emergency substitute teacher program to address this problem.  If you have a college degree and are interested in becoming a substitute teacher for our district, please contact Marjy Grace at 724-238-5696 ext. 17 for more additional information.
