One-to-One iPad Program

The one-to-one iPad program was funded by a grant from the Mellon Foundation. The purpose of the one-to-one iPad program at Ligonier Valley Middle School is to engage learners in learning through technology to increase student achievement.  iPads will not replace all current learning initiative but rather augment those efforts.

The middle school one-to-one iPad program differs from the program at the high school.  Learners do not take their iPads home. They pick them up in the morning during homeroom period, and return them at the end of the day following the instructional support period.

Learners have use of their iPads throughout the day.  Homework is not dependent upon iPads use.  If an assignment must be completed on an iPad, ample time is provided during the school day by the teacher for completion of this work.  It is important to note that the school network students use to access the Internet is filtered.

The 815 Policy Acknowledgement and Consent Form and the Student iPad Guidelines and Responsibilities Form must be completed before a learner can receive his/her iPad. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Janine Vallano, district technology coordinator.
